Maxim, which is known as a leader for men’s lifestyle magazine and entertainment, launched its first swimwear collection at the SLS Hotel in South Beach Saturday, July 18th during Funkshion Swim Week in Miami. Inspired by legendary fashion icon, Brigitte Bardot and featuring two design themes, “Boho” and “Girl Next Door,” the collection paid homage to key moments in history led by exceptional women.
Twenty models walked the runway over a lighted pool to showcase the magazine’s first-ever swim collection featuring over 50 looks, designed exclusively by ONIS Design Group. The Boho-themed pieces featured fringe, crochet lace and bold prints interjected with warm earth tones and embellishments, while “Girl Next Door” captured an All-American look with sleek solids, seersucker and gingham prints, paired with sophisticated color palettes.
Attendees: Maxim’s Editor-in-Chief Kate Lanphear, Onis Design Group, LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian, style blogger Jasmine Tosh, model Chantel Jeffries, boxing champion Lennox Lewis, Lisa Hochstein and international singer Che’Nelle
