The Hammock Runway Show presented by LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ at W South Beachon Friday night made a splash Swim Week!  Over fifty Hammock exhibitors showcased a look from their 2016 collection on a spectacular runway over the W South Beach pool.  Hammock trade show presented by LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™is Swim Week’s premiere luxury lifestyle show held at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences.  Hammock features creative exhibition spaces, 45 ocean view exhibitor suites, and special events during Swim Week, July 18-20 at the W South Beach.

On Friday, July 17, with more than 450 fashion-elite attendees, Hammock showcased a variety of luxury designer swimwear brands on a spectacular runway built over the pool, launching Swim Week at the WET pool lounge. The show featured the LYCRA® DESIGN Challenge, a design competition for brands in the Hammock show to design a unique swimsuit and/or cover-up using red fabric containing LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ fiber. The LYCRA® Challenge video reveal from LYCRA® Mover and professional surfer, Anastasia Ashley set the tone and introduced the competition. Custom designs from made of red LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ shown by 10 brands in the Hammock Runway Show finale and judged for originality, creativity and fit by a panel of three industry judges including professional surfer, Anastasia Ashley, renowned fashion blogger Kaitlynn Carter, and Ocean Drive magazine’s fashion editor, Julia Ford Carther. The winners were Acambha (first), Solkissed Swimwear (second) and Honey Bee Swim (third). The first place winner will receive an all-expenses-paid fashion photo shoot of the winning design look which will then be featured in the November issue of Ocean Drive.

About Anastasia Ashley

Anastasia Ashley grew up between the beaches of the North shore of Oahu, and southern California.
