DKNY, the New York-based fashion brand has always been associated with New York Fashion Week. Instead, the company has decided to sit out this season even though they had been slated for February 15th.

According to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), the time slot is still considered to be open but plans to be filled by Derek Lam who plans to start his presentation earlier than expected.

Many feel the reason for this is due to the departure of Public School designers Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, who started their collaboration at DKNY.

DKNY will not be the only iconic brand that will pass on this seasons NYFW. Brands expected to not participate include: Rebecca Minkoff, Tom Ford, Rachel Zoe, and Tommy Hilfiger.
