Nordstrom, the Seattle-based luxury department store, just announced that come fall 2017, they will discontinue carrying Ivanka Trump’s clothing label.
“Based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season,” a Nordstrom spokeswoman said Thursday.
“This was a decision made entirely based on brand performance,” a Nordstrom spokeswoman said. “We’ve said all along we make buying decisions based on performance. We’ve got thousands of brands – more than 2,000 offered on the site alone. Reviewing their merit and making edits is part of the regular rhythm of our business” according to WWD.
As of Thursday afternoon, just four items were displayed on the website: three pairs of shoes and one dress, all discounted down by 40 percent.
