BERENIK, a rising name in the world of fashion, returned to New York Fashion Week this season to unveil their Autumn/Winter 2017 collection with a Presentation on Thursday, February 9th, 2017 at Pier59 Studios.

The foundation of BERENIK’s contemporary style is a core value of a strong visual aesthetic combined with it’s ever-present undercurrent of simplicity.  For A/W 2017, these values were clearly evident throughout the collection.  With extreme attention to detail, the A/W 17 collection’s main source of inspiration emanated from designer Veronika Brusa’s transcendent and conceptual dream-like state as well as her distinct interest in meditative abstract paintings.

A/W 17 showcased Brusa’s trademark collection of comfortable, functional, and sporty silhouettes, but with a new sense of femininity.  Through tasteful shapes and appealing color palettes, Brusa presented a comprehensive collection punctuated with warm faux fur lined coats, short and long jumpsuits, bodysuits, pants, sweaters, leggings, unisex pieces and numerous leather and patchwork accessories.  Snow white shiny rayon and shaggy cotton, black snake print jacquard, gold and black silk velvet, dark green shaggy faux fur and hints of rust and dusty rose resulted in a super hip, casual, striking, yet appealing new take on everyday functionality.

50 movement and performance artists who danced seamlessly throughout the room “modeled” the collection while live music from Swiss based electronic perfomer BIT-TUNER (Marcel Gschwend) played. The brand’s exceptional styling team included makeup artistry by NU Evolution and hair looks created by Prive By Laurent D.
